Sorry, no new photos. I just wanted to write down some stats before I forget.
Sienna started walking before her first birthday, but today I definitley noticed she is walking more and occasionally crawls.
I think she just went through another growth spurt too. The cute baby chubby legs are gone, and she looks more kid-like and less baby every day.
Sienna is learning very quickly now. Her first real word is ball. Everything round she calls a ball, including an orange she tried to bounce.
Her favorite book is Panda Bear, Panda Bear What Do you See? Illustrated by Eric Carle. I have to read it to her every night before bed. She calles it baak.
Tonight I told her, "Sienna go brush your teeth." On her own, she walked from her bedroom to the bathroom and pointed up toward the sink. She really likes to brush her teeth, and won't let me help her.
Sienna likes all the solid foods we've introduced to her so far, except for avacados. It's the only thing she spit back up and put back onto her plate. I thought, maybe she just wasn't use to it, but then she proceeded to hand me one at a time each little chunck I had chopped up for her. It was one of those moments I wished I had on video.

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY SIENNA!!!!
We took Sienna to the Academy of Science Museum in San Francisco with her Lolo & Lola for her birthday. She loved seeing all the fishes and especially the Penguins. I think she could sit there all day watching them swim around. We had lunch at Sang Tung in my old neighorhood when I went to school in San Francisco. Later, we picked up her other grandma for some cake, balloons and presents!
Sienna,
How quickly this year has passed, and how quickly you've grown .
Happy Birthday to my baby who is now a little girl!
Love,
Mommy

The Little Cruiser
I'm a week behind on updating... Sienna is now 11 months and 1 week old. Already looking and acting like a toddler, Sienna has 6 teeth coming through ( 3 top front and 3 bottom front teeth). She's walks by holding onto furniture, walls, and us. She can stand unassisted for a good few seconds before she gets insecure, and plops to the floor to her more comfortable crawling mode. Sienna has already taken her first steps, so I'm placing my bets she will be full on walking before her birthday.
We took Sienna to a pumkin patch in Petaluma, here are some pictures:

10 months old
Sienna's 10month birth date is shared with her Lola & Lolo's wedding 34th Anniversary! This evening Sienna took her photos, which is getting harder and harder to do each month. Eventually, I had to put her in baby jail to take some video footage.
She is getting really good at saying mamamama and daadaaa daaa. Also, she is pointing even more at things you say. The list-to-date: Zacky, Daddy, Mommy, tree, light, nose, and teeth.
If she doesn't point. She'll look over and smile at what you say. I first noticed when she started to recognize the word for tree and our cat Zacky.
Sienna is crawling at a fast speed now, and pulling herself up on everything.
Here's her pictures from tonight!

Sienna's mobile!
Sienna turned 9 months old this past Friday. She's learned quite a bit over the past 4 weeks. Sienna loves to point at things, open/shuts the drawer at the bottom of her crib, crawls around (today she manage to go from the living room to her bedroom) and she is standing up in her crib. Her new found mobility is quite scary for us.
Bedtime is a challenge. It was a lot easier getting her to fuss herself to sleep when she couldn't sit right back up, or stand in her crib in protest.
Her 9month day photoshoot didn't go so well. Now that she can crawl away, it's like trying to take a picture of an animal in the wild... I kept getting her to smile at the camera, as she lunged to snatch it from me. Finally, I gave up and had to use the "binky".
